SAMPLE DOCUMENT. This is a worked example of the handover every build receives, using a fictional clinic. Replace the bracketed details with the real project before publishing it as your sample.

Riverbend Physio · built by Shane · 23 October 2026 · v1.0

1. What was built

A five-page site for a physiotherapy clinic in Bristol, built around one action: book an appointment. Every page routes to that.

2. Where it lives and who owns it

DomainRegistered to you, DNS pointed at Vercel. Renewal is yours, not mine
ContentYours. You can take the HTML anywhere at any time

Everything is in your name already. If we stop working together tomorrow, nothing breaks and nothing is held hostage: the repo, the domain and the analytics are all yours.

3. How to change things yourself

Three jobs cover 90% of day-to-day edits. Each takes about a minute.

Changing the booking form? Don't. It is wired to your inbox and tested. If you want a different destination, ask me — a broken form loses enquiries silently and you won't notice for weeks.

4. The three things most likely to break first

What breaksHow you'll know
The booking form stops emailingNo enquiries for a week. Your email provider marked the notification as spam. Check the spam folder, then tell me.
The domain lapsesSite shows a registrar holding page. Renewal date: 12 Aug 2027. Set a reminder for July.
A photo is replaced with too large a filePage feels slow on mobile. Keep images under 300KB; the site will load them, just slowly.

5. How to reach me

Emailhello@shane.ai
Response timeNext working day. Not evenings, not weekends — and I won't pretend otherwise
IncludedFixes for anything in this document that breaks, for 30 days, free
Not includedNew pages, new features, redesigns — those are a new piece of work, quoted first
UrgentIf the site is down and losing you bookings, mark the email URGENT and I'll pick it up the same day

6. What happens next

You do nothing for 30 days. Then I'll check six things on the site — indexation, titles, structured data, AI citation, competitor movement and form delivery — and tell you what, if anything, needs fixing. That check runs every two weeks after that.
